About my experience
I'm Rodrigo David Benitez, a software engineer and AI/ML specialist building production systems since 2017. Largely self-taught, I started as a Spanish–English interpreter and grew into engineering — shipping speech, translation, and voice-automation software for language-services companies, and today working on local-first, edge-ready AI. Arrow is my node-graph RPA for edge devices, wired together from that same local-inference stack.
- DevOps Engineer & AI Implementation — Synopsys (2025–present): run and troubleshoot Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, ship automation that removes manual toil, and build local-first LLM/RAG tooling with no proprietary data leaving the enterprise.
- GenAI Team Lead — DigPatho (2024): led the generative-AI team building vision models for breast-cancer diagnosis support, including a deferred-diagnosis tool grounded in a custom RAG framework.
- Freelance AI/ML Developer (2022–2024): shipped local-first models for international clients — a multilingual transcription platform scaled to 1,000+ concurrent streams across 20 languages, a VoIP AI interpreter, and an agentic voice assistant.
- Earlier engineering (2017–2022): built live speech-to-text and translation tools, automation suites, and VoIP platforms for language-services companies, cutting interpreter effort by up to 40%.
- Approach: prefer deterministic, offline-capable systems — local inference, no API calls, no per-token fees.
